You know, I've never seen Dr. Zhivago. I've only been to London, ON, a few times. Seems like a nice place to catch up on some sleep. South Mid-Western Ontario? Prolly like the U.S. South Mid-West. Or _any_ South Mid-West. I'll bet South Mid-Western Peru is a whole lotta bunch like South Mid-Western Ukraine, not _obviously_, but underneath-like, in ways hidden to the untrained eye.
