Capital Gains
Oct. 31st, 2008 10:10 amYES, OF COURSE I am a huge admirer of JOHN HODGMAN, but he did not invent the OVERUSE of CAPITALIZATION, you know. It is a FINE and HONORABLE TRADITION in the work of nineteenth-century cranks, shut-ins, and President Andrew Jackson.
I am looking for a stylistic AFFECTATION in hopes it will help me to overcome a months' long case of writer's BLOCK.
Perhaps I should try to "Re-create" the Idiosyncratic "Capital-ization" and "Punc-tuation" I adopted during The "Lexicon" of the "Lost 500 Years". It combined Hodg-man's pleasing "Retro" "ness" with a Distinct Whiff of "Schizo-phrenia." BUT! It is "Extremely Annoying," and I can't really Re-member "How" it was "done"!!!
THAT IS ALL.
